Our Vision and Our Mission

I’m teaching a class at Campus Church in Atlanta this month.  I’m reviewing the principles of Chick-fil-A’s SERVE model and regularly applying them to our situation.  Here are two points I want our team and our partners to remember during these days of transition, opportunity and (honestly) potential distraction.

One…our Vision is this:

That’s why we do what we do…so that all orphans mature spiritually, relationally and practically in a community of care.

Two, remember our Mission:

That’s our mission.  That’s how we accomplish that vision shown earlier.

Please remember our emphasis here on the U.S. side will always be establishing local mentoring communities.  Our staff who live in Russia and Ukraine and Belarus are part of that emphasis BUT they are also uniquely part of the rest of our mission…equipping orphans and at risk youth for success in life through spiritual development, positive role models, and practical life skills.  Katrina, Arthur, Kostya, and Ruslan are in position to both…establish and mentor…in a way we in the US are not.  Know that we value our international staff and want to empower and encourage them any way we can to carry out that mission.

Just wanted to share that as I’m preparing for this class on Sunday and thinking about our team and our amazing opportunities ahead.

God bless you all and thank you all on behalf all of the YouthReach International team,

Rob
