Reaching to Russia - Why This Matters, Why I Give - Korvan Funk
As year-end approaches, we continue our spotlight of some of our financial partners…
Meet Our Partner
The needs of orphans in Russia are overwhelming: physical, spiritual, emotional, psychological, educational. Among those broad needs, however, is something very specific. That's the need for a trusting relationship with at least one adult whom they consider a significant person in their lives. Someone who can be an example. Someone to make proud. Someone who will help them see that life is worth living. Someone who will help them understand that they are loved and have purpose and value.
YouthReach International does a beautiful job in meeting that need through its summer teams and year-round mentorship program. The relationships established are meaningful and provide a platform for speaking healing truth into broken lives. Not only does YouthReach select and send its US and Russian volunteers, but it provides ongoing training to equip them with the tools they need to effectively serve the least of these. As a result, lives are changed forever.
