Hello from Novosibirsk!
It was definitely not the most direct route we have ever traveled to get here but it was one of the most blessed for sure as we got to spend a few wonderful days in Phoenix with Traci’s family celebrating the high school graduation of our oldest nephew.
Our Phoenix to Los Angeles to Moscow to Novosibirsk jaunt on Monday/Tuesday was a marathon we treated like a sprint. Because of that the aftermath of bodies spread out around our flat in varying stages of the deepest REM sleep you can imagine is the stage we are now in. Oh how I wish I could show you the pictures. Indeed, it is better that I don’t.
Our first US team to Russia leaves on June 1 and arrives here on June 2 in the evening. We’ll have a quick reconnect between them and our Mentors on Sunday and then outreach #1 for the summer begins in Monday morning. I again want to point out that our American team members are coming to join relationships and processes that precede them. This past year has been the best and most impactful year of mentoring that our ministry has ever seen. Lives of orphans, especially older orphans who must soon face the reality of life alone post orphanage, are being changed daily. Join with us in prayers of thanks for that.
Pray too for Nathan, Denny, and Elizabeth who arrive later this week and then Andy and Olivia who come mid next week to be followed by Victoria who comes the week after that. The busyness of summer is truly upon us.
With deepest appreciation for all you have done to empower our being here, we are,
Rob, Traci, Benjamin, Nate, Aidan and Anna
