Back Home and Doing Great

We made it back home from the hospital today sometime around 3 p.m.  I really can’t remember exactly when because she and I both pretty much passed out a few minutes after coming in.  I just woke up and she’s still resting.  Thank you to her parents and my mom for providing taxi service and A++ kid watching yesterday and today.

The surgery went great, no complications other than a slower than expected “coming out” of the drug’s effects,  and she’ll be fully up and going within a week we think.

Thank you for the tidal wave of emails today.  It reminded me of September 7 all over again in another way – being surrounded by love, care and concern.

So many of you were truly moved and commented about the kindness of the business man who gave me that ride this morning from the airport to the hospital.  I’ve thought about it a few times today and am amazed again at how God is in the details of life.  As one of my mentors always says, “God is already where you are concerned about being and he’s not the least bit intimidated by what he sees there.”  That provided a lot of encouragement as I traversed the globe yesterday and this morning trying to get home to be at her side.

With resting and healing on the plate for the next few days we thank you again and pray you all have a wonderful weekend ahead,

Rob and Traci
