Lord, the People Praise You!

Last night, I got to hear a group of Ukrainian men and women sing praises to the Lord, listen to His Word, and discuss the discipline of a daily practice of reading, praying and obeying.  This was a Donetsk area meeting of local preachers, with about a dozen churches represented.  We also invited our local mentors, and some friends (old and new).  All in all, there were about 30 people.  And Tony Morrow lead a study on Reading, Praying, and Obeying.

Tony Morrow leads the seminar on Reading, Praying, and Obeying.

Starting a little after 5 pm, we began with worship and prayer, lifting up praises to the King.  A fellowship meal came around 7, and then we continued with our study and prayer until about 12:30 this morning.  You know, there are times when the Holy Spirit's presence is so strong that you just don't want to leave.  Last night at the Kirovsky Church, with brothers and sisters in Christ clinging to His Word, His Truth, His Presence - it was just one of those times.  This is what gives me energy.  This is the spiritual food that we need to not just live, but thrive while we long for heaven.  Praise God for His Spirit and the bond that unites us all together!  Praise God for these people, who worship in Spirit and Truth, continually trying to get closer to the source of each!

Psalm 67: 5-7
May the peoples praise you, O God;
may all the peoples praise you.
Then the land will yield its harvest,
and God, our God, will bless us.
God will bless us,
and all the ends of the earth will fear him.

Today, right now in front of your computer, iPod, touchpad, laptop, or whatever you're using, please stop for a moment and give Him praise.  He deserves it.  And then, join with me in expectation of the blessing.
